Rescue

I am sitting outside listening to my quiet tunes and nature with the sounds of the early morning.

You would think I am prepared with my tablet charged, but, I am not. Are we prepared for what is thrown at us or His plans? A lot of times we are not. We would like to be, but we are not.

I am reminded of this week’s message stemmed from Jeremiah 1:4-10. (By the way, this Jeremiah was not a bullfrog).

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. – Jeremiah 1:5 NIV

Where have I heard that before? Psalm 139 stands out.

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. – Psalm 139:13-14 NIV

While we were in our mother’s womb, He knew us and had a plan for us. Plus, we were made pretty wonderfully. Maybe that is why I am so cool. (No, I don’t have a complex).

I talk like a person who is learning to talk. It is rather frustrating when you know what you want to say, alas, you can’t form the words anymore or you lose the word you would have used. I used to blame it on menopause, however it only amplifies these things.

He knew I would get frustrated.

Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak: I am too young.” – Jeremiah 1:6 NIV

Later on He says, Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you in Jeremiah verse 8.

I believe He will rescue me from my frustration. I know this to be true as He has in the past. He has given me ideas to combat my frustration. That is how He rescues me.
