Waxing

A diamond encrusted cross on a necklace. (Man, is it fabulous and shiny).

I silently wanted it to be on a “good” guy, instead it was on a suspect. A suspect of trafficking and selling drugs. I saw it Saturday on a show.

I so dislike when the cross becomes a fashion statement instead of what it really was.

Imagine carrying your own death stick. Knowing your death is going to be painful. (I know I would like to die in my sleep). Jesus knew that and He still went ahead.

We do not crucify now of days. Crucifixion seems so inhuman now of days.

My pastor talked about Palm Sunday. We shake out palms and cry out Hosanna!” Yet, He was going to His death. Most, if not all, would have turned around. Yet, He still went ahead.

After telling this story, Jesus went on towards Jerusalem, walking ahead of his disciples. – Luke 20:38 NLT

He went ahead! Did I read that correctly? Wow!

I just now understand what Amazing Grace means. I used to so dislike that song. Now I get it. I had some help from my Community Bible Study.

He did share that grace with us. In fact, He showers it.

So, how does it apply to me? Hmmm… I would have been in that crowd shouting, “Crucify Him!” & I would have taken delight in seeing Him parading or sporting his death stick.

I am pretty sure of that fact. I would have worn the cross as a fashion statement. All these things before I knew what grace and crucifixion were.

“He sacrificed Himself on the cross to deliver us from wickedness and to make us new for His purposes.” (Taken from my CBS commentary).

I often think and talk about my new body. I will get a new body. One free of attacking itself and acting stupid. Is that how He makes us new?

Sorta. I have noticed a change in my actions & thoughts. That makes me happy. He is making me new.

Despite my talking or lack of talking good. (Remember, I only let you hear me when I am talking alright, not the jibberish I can speak. That’s reserved). I shared yesterday in our group. I waxed & waned but I didn’t want to let MS win out.

Though studying the word. I have noticed a change.

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged ,for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. – Isaiah 41:10 NLT

Do you think Jesus was told that as he walked to His death? Was He told that in the garden as He prayed?

My right hand is shot, but His isn’t. Plus, He has a lot more strength than I do. Let Him go before me. Let Him hold me up.

Yes,let Him hold me up…
